Jake Paul will take an eight-round fight at cruiserweight against Mike Perry (0-1) on Saturday, July 20th, live on DAZN PPV at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida. The event is dubbed, ‘Fear No Man.”
In the chief support bout, unified female featherweight champion Amanda Serrano will face Stevie Morgan in a 10-round contest.
Mike Perry: A Familiar Face for MMA Fans
Mike Perry, 32, is well known to MMA fans and those who follow bare-knuckle fights, as he competes in both. He’s fought in UFC competition from 2016 to 2021, mostly losing.
Perry has competed once in boxing, losing to Kenneth McNeil by a fourth-round knockout in 2015.
Jake’s decision to use Mike Perry is a favorable move for MMA fans because they know him, and they’ll be more likely to order the match on PPV than if he were to face a boxer.
On social media, fans’ reaction to the news of Jake’s fight against Perry has been largely negative because they wanted to see him fight a real boxer. He’s not ready to fight a true fighter after his loss to Tommy Fury last year. If Jake defeats Tyson, he could be ready to tackle the top-tier cruiserweight.
Popular YouTube star Jake Paul was originally supposed to fight Mike Tyson on July 20th, but he had to pull out due to a medical problem.
The idea behind the Perry fight is for Jake, 27, to stay sharp for his rescheduled eight-round clash against retired former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson on November 15th at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Now, as I prepare for my fight against Iron Mike, there’s no better opponent for me than Mike Perry,” said Jake Paul. “He’s a proven knockout artist who has shown to be a maniac in and out of the ring.
