Heavyweight Derek Chisora (35-13, 23 KOs) won a massive victory, defeating favorite Joe Joyce (16-3, 15 KOs) by a ten-round unanimous decision on Saturday night at the O2 Arena in London.

After being hurt in round eight and looking exhausted, Chisora, 40, returned to drop Joyce in the ninth round with a right hand to the head.

In the tenth, Chisora sealed the victory by landing several hard looping right hands on Joyce in the final 30 seconds of the contest. The scores were 98-92, 96-94 and 96-94. Boxing News 24 scored it for Chisora 7-3.

Ryan Garner (16-0, 8 KOs) retained his WBC International super featherweight title with a ten-round unanimous decision win over previously unbeaten Archie Sharp (25-1, 9 KOs).

The scores were 98-92, 97-93 and 97-93. Garner hurt Sharp in the sixth round with a right to the head. However, Sharp recovered well by staying in close, smothering the power of Garner.

The action was messy from rounds seven through ten, with a lot of roughhouse tactics by both fighters. Garner’s better engine was the difference in the second half of the contest, as Sharp’s footwork slowed, and he was stationary.

Heavyweight prospect Moses Itauma (10-0, 8 KOs) destroyed former world title challenger Mariusz Wach (38-11-1, 20 KOs) by a second-round knockout. The 19-year-old Itauma dropped the 44-year-old Wach with a series of hard shots, some of which landed to the back of the head.

After the 6’7″ Wach got back to his feet, Itauma finished him off with a follow-up barrage of unanswered punches, resulting in referee Michael Alexander stepping in to halt the fight. The stoppage occurred at 2:30 of round two.

Dennis McCann just put on a clinic against Ionut Baluta, racking up scores that echo the sound of sheer superiority: 120-108 and 117-111, twice. It was a unanimous decision, but calling it “well-deserved” is an understatement. 23 year old McCann expanded his trophy case to include European gold, adding to his impressive stash of British, Commonwealth, and WBO Inter-Continental super-bantamweight titles.

Royston Barney-Smith effortlessly won his first belt with yawn-inducing scores of 79-73 and twin 78-74s, in a fight so lackluster it could double as a cure for insomnia.

Sean Noakes wins the English welterweight title with tight scores of 97-94 and 96-94, outlasting a tough challenge from Bassi in a unanimous decision.

Aadam Hamed clinched a win against Georgi Velichkov with a score of 40-36, moving his record to 2-0.

Brandun Lee outmaneuvered Juan Anacona over eight rounds with a score of 78-74, marking his 29th win.

Raven Chapman nearly stopped Yohana Sarabia, ultimately winning by unanimous decision 100-90 to retain her WBC international featherweight title and extend her record to 9-0.

Jermaine Dhliwayo, Derek Chisora’s nephew, won his debut fight against Engel Gomez on points.

Umar Khan steamrolled over Kaddour Hmiani to claim his 10th win.
